Weight Loss With Ionamin: Gentle Plan, Mighty Results

May 27th, 2008

You know you have will-power. You can change a diaper while on the phone with an important client and then fix a fabulous, healthy meal for your family and your unexpected visitors while arranging your tax receipts. Only a master of willpower could do these things every day!

But where it comes to weight-loss, will-power isn’t always enough. What can you do if you’re squeezing a diet and exercise into your busy day but the needle on the scale won’t budge?

Enter Ionamin

If you’re on a program to get to a healthy weight, you should consider talking to your doctor about Ionamin. Ionamin contains the drug phentermine, an appetite suppressant: it encourages changes in your brain chemicals to make you feel less hungry. By taking the edge off, Ionamin can make it easier to make healthy food choices, which in turn can make exercise easier. Ionamin works like training wheels on a bike, making it easier for you to get the hang of things until your new healthy habits stay put on their own!

Phentermine is everywhere - why is Ionamin special?

Phentermine is the name of the chemical found in a number of different products. Adipex, Phentercot, Teramine, Fastin and Pro-fast are all brand names for drugs that have the same active ingredient, phentermine.

The active ingredient in Ionamin is also phentermine. In Ionamin, phentermine is trapped in a special “resin” that releases the drug slowly, to reduce irritation if you have a sensitive stomach. Some patients also report that any side effects they experience when starting the drug are less abrupt and easier to manage.

I like the idea of gentle weight loss, but will it help someone who has a lot of weight to lose?

Ionamin is designed especially for someone like you. In fact, you’re an ideal candidate if your Body Mass Index (or BMI, which measures your height-to-weight ratio) is above 30, or if your BMI is above 27 and you have risk factors like diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol.

It sounds too good to be true! Why isn’t everyone on Ionamin?

Before providing you with a prescription, your doctor will ask about your medications and health history. Your doctor may suggest a different medication if you have health conditions including heart disease or lung problems.

In addition, Ionamin works very similarly to certain antidepressants. If you’re already on certain antidepressants (called MAO inhibitors), you won’t want to be using Ionamin on top of it.

Lastly, speak honestly with your doctor if you’ve had past difficulties with alcohol or drug dependence. There are reports of some people who’ve gotten over a dependence developing dependence on phentermine products, so you and your doctor should find a product that’s less likely to put you at risk.

Ionamin and Daily Life

Once you’re on Ionamin, you’ll want to check in with your doctor regularly. If it doesn’t seem to be helping weight loss within the first few weeks, ask ask her if you need to change doses or drugs. Side effects like very mild stomach upset or jitteriness are normal for the first couple of days, but you should let her know if you have them for more than a few days or if they get worse. If you have serious side effects like chest pain or shortness of breath, see a doctor immediately as these may be signs that you need to stop taking Ionamin right away.

After a few weeks, you’ll be ready to take off the training wheels; you’ll find at this point that your diet feels more like part of your daily life and your diet will take off!

Sony - Simply the Best

May 27th, 2008

It’s true! The name Sony speaks volumes, owing to their unending success of rolling out quality products, be they MP3 players, computers, TVs, cameras, and the myriad of other solid buys; the list goes on.

While this article may seem like a flagrant plug for Sony, it is not meant to be and is simply my opinion on a brilliant company and the appeal and grip that Sony has on the electronic/entertainment market around the globe. People perhaps like to knock it like people like to knock any success story, but it is what it is, the brainchild of two intelligent Japanese guys who hit the nail on the head.

Brief History of Sony

Sony was founded just after World War II in Tokyo, 1946, by two men; the engineer Masaru Ibuka, and the physicist Akio Morita. They invested a modest sum of money to kick start the company, with just 20 employees.

The success started early, with the introduction of such thoroughbreds as Japan’s first transistor radio, followed by a pocket radio and later, a portable, miniature television. It wasn’t until the late 1970s, however, that Sony really hit the big time with the introduction of the Sony Walkman; a then modern marvel of sound innovation allowing its user to walk, jog, ride, climb a mountain, or do whatever, while listening to music.

Sony Today

Few companies have come close to having the consistent success that Sony has bred, with their reputation for innovation and reliability. It’s unlikely that the company will be slowing down in the future either; they keep coming up with groundbreaking ideas, from miniature cameras and mobile phones to benchmark games platforms and all-encompassing studio home theater systems.

I, for one, hope they continue turning over the billions of Yen that they do in order that they may continue churning out these awesome ideas an products.

The Logic of Emotion!

May 27th, 2008

Homebuyers are an interesting study. Watching people make their
home buying decisions has brought me to the conclusion that
every decision that every one of us makes is based in emotion.
You heard me, it’s all about the emotion. Before you deny what I
am describing to you, let me begin with me.

Painful as the revelation is for me, even I as a Naval Academy
graduate, retired Navy pilot, and home inspector extraordinaire,
make decisions based on emotion. It took some bridging for me to
get there, but I am there.

Have you ever had a feeling in your gut about a decision? A
hunch? That’s emotion. We make decisions that reflect how we
feel about the event or expect to feel when the outcome is
completed. People, especially those that are highly educated and
technically trained, rarely realize and usually never concede
that their decisions are based in emotion.

Before discussing the particulars of the emotional responses, I
will admit that logic does play a role. What ends up happening
is, after the near immediate emotional response and decision,
the backfilling of logic begins. Logic is used to make the
emotion seem reasonable.

Emotional responses as I see them fall into two broad
categories. The first is the desire for pleasure and the second
is the avoidance of pain. When we are contemplating a decision,
we weigh the balance of the desire for and probability of a
pleasurable outcome with the fear of and distain for pain.

What real estate agents are faced with is responding to issues
presented as logic that are truly emotions. It takes a
tremendous talent to listen to the logic, but hear the emotion.
What are people really saying? That is the challenge.

Find and understand the emotional issue and you can keep any
deal together. This thought applies no matter if your role is
buyer, seller, agent, or inspector. Ultimately, you must seek to
understand why people feel as they feel in order to fully
comprehend what they really mean in what they are saying.

Not long ago, I inspected a home for an electrical engineer, a
very bright and successful individual. The home had a beautiful
swimming pool in the backyard. Our intrepid engineer had out his
digital tape measure and was measuring the distance between each
electrical receptacle along the rear exterior of the home. He
would measure, then ponder, measure more, and then ponder more.

Finally, he approached the real estate agent and me announcing
that there was an unsafe condition relating to the unequal
distance between the electrical outlets. He then spouted large
quantities of electrical engineer babble and finished with, “I’d
be shocked if this were not a code violation”. I wanted to
respond with “No sir, the code is intended to prevent you from
being shocked”, but decided that “hmmmm” was a better response.

After much debate and some real listening, the man’s issue had
nothing to do with electrical engineering or the National
Electric Code. In his mind, he had the perfect place for his
lounge chair, but there was not a receptacle adjacent to that
location for him to plug his radio into! He was laying logic,
however flawed, on us in order to justify his demand that a new
receptacle be added.

Listen to the logic, hear the emotion!

Back-End Products… The Key To Lasting Profits

May 27th, 2008

A back-end product is a product you attempt to sell your customers after they have recently purchased a related product from your business.

If you’re not trying to sell back-end products to your customers, you’re making a big mistake. It is easier to sell to existing customers than it is to sell to new ones who don’t trust your business yet.

Below are ten killer strategies you can use to sell your back-end products to your existing customers:

1. When you ship people the first product they bought, insert a flyer or brochure for your back-end product in the package.

2. Give customers a free subscription to a customers only e-zine when they buy your product. You could include your ad for your back-end product in each issue.

3. Send your customers greeting cards on holidays or on their birthday. Include a small advertisement inside the card for your back-end product.

4. After people order your first product from your web site, take them to a “thank you” web page and include your back-end product ad on that page.

5. Send customers a free surprise gift after they order your first product. You could attach another ad with the free gift for your back-end product.

6. If you’re selling an electronic product, like an ebook, include your ad for your back-end product somewhere inside the electronic product.

7. Give your customers a free membership into your “customers only” private site. You could include your ad for your back-end product somewhere inside the private site.

8. Contact your customers by phone and ask them if they were happy with their purchase. You could tell them about your back-end product.

9. Send your customers a thank you letter by mail or e-mail. You could mention your back-end product somewhere on the letter.

10. Ask your customers if they want to be updated in the future when you have new product offers. You could have them sign up to receive e-mail or snail mail updates.

Your business will have a greater chance of surviving when you attempt to sell back-end products to your existing customers.

My Clients will Keep Coming Back Surely? Here’s How to Encourage Them

May 27th, 2008

Building Customer Loyalty is always difficult if you find that your clients come one and you never seen them again - you are sadly losing money. It costs far more to obtain a new customer than it does to sell more to your existing customers.

The way you do this is to keep in touch and make them feel valued. Some ways of doing this are:

  • Newsletter: Start up a small newsletter and send this to your current and past clients. This can be done my mail or preferably email. Please give your clients the option to opt out of this service. Your newsletter should include information, chat and articles that people will find interesting and are relevant to your own business. 2 - 3 pages are all that you need. If you find the cost a little prohibitive - then pair up with a complimentary local business and share the costs and efforts as well as the mailing list of course. You can also include regular discount cards as well as information on new products and services you are bringing out. Keep it light, informative and “non salesy” and you will keep your clients close and in regular contact with you. If your newsletter is really interesting then they will send it onto their friends as well. Your frequency can be from every ten days to every two months depending upon your services and fortitude. Any more or less frequently and you lose your effectiveness.
  • Loyalty Bonuses: Introduce loyalty cards where you provide an extra product, service or discount after a certain level of purchases has been made. This encourages extra sales and gives your clients a feeling of achievement.
  • Suggest a Friend: Another marketing option that works well is to set up a “suggest a friend” scheme. Reward your clients with extra services or products if they suggest a friend who consequently purchases from you. By then adding these people to your newsletter you are growing your clients.
  • Buy one etc: This scheme has the charming name of BOGOF - buy one get one free. There are several variations - you could try - buy one and then get 10% of the next service/product. Buy three - get the cheapest at half price - you get the picture! - By ensuring that the second item/service is available only in the future - you persuade your client to come back a second time. This builds loyalty and makes your client feel that they have a bargain.
  • Up Sell: When you sell one product or service, offer other complimentary services as well at a discounted price. Package them together if possible so that your total sale is larger. Remember the fast food outlets selling their “meals” which gives a bigger total sale price.
  • Lastly - if your clients are not returning - have you checked that you are offering what people thought that they were buying and that they are not leaving unhappy or disappointed. Write to them shortly afterwards, or talk to them before they leave and ask for feedback. Act upon it!

Winclear :Black History Month Word Search

    May 26th, 2008

Yes, preventing intrusions from the web, keeping files safe and ensuring the secure transactions of online banking can be done using free applications. And I mean not demo versions of software, not trial editions, but fully functional tools that many PC users either have never heard about or just don’t trust anything that goes with a 4-letter word. More and more parents realize they shouldn’t impose any direct control over their child’s online activity thus trying to find out what their children are doing online.

At first phishing consisted only of a social engineering scam in which phishers spammed consumer e-mail accounts with letters ostensibly from banks. The more people got aware of the scam, the less spelling mistakes these messages contained, and the more these fraudulent websites resembled legitimate ones. Phishers are getting smarter. They eagerly learn; there is enough money involved here to turn criminals into earnest students. Data loggers, key loggers are just a few programs which harvest info from your computer. Winclear is the only program created specially to auto remove such spywares. html. That is why every computer owner needs winclear.

Protect With Winclear :Brief History Of Internet
Internet predators gravitate towards children who are online for lengthy periods of time each day, and usually at the same time of day. Predators seek children whose schedules mesh with their own, children who are online most days during a consistent time frame. Think about it… predators have little chance to groom a child for future exploitation if that child is rarely online or is online at various times of the day. Children who do not have a lot of activities outside of school tend to be online longer and at the same times of day compared to those children who have lots of activities. These children are more often targeted by internet predators. Winclear is the only software which is capable of removing keylogger programs. You can not just delete the most important file that you have so that no one could ever stole it. Winclear has been the industry leader in fighting keyloggers for the last 8 years.

    Winclear:
It effectively detects removes and protects your PC from thousands of potential spyware and adware programs proliferating the online world today. That is the reason why you need Winclear installed onto your computer. Spyware operators offer programs to advertisers who may buy ads in the pop up and display them while a user visits to that website. Protect your computer security by using Winclear! Bob Hope Wasn’t The Only One Who Used Idiot Cards

    May 25th, 2008

When Bob Hope moved into television, he lost the opportunity to hold his script in his hand , something he had gotten used to working in radio. The presentation would look too stiff to his audience. He tried to memorize his monologues, but that proved to be too cumbersome of a task and it took away from his golf game. The solution was cue cards, or idiot cards as they are known in the industry. This worked well for the performer, but was hazardous for others. On one of Hope’s early NBC broadcasts a well meaning assistant director held up the cards so his star could read them, then tossed them back over his shoulder almost decapitating several members of the studio audience.

Idiot cards are a way for performers to lose the respect of their co-stars. James Caan, Robert Duvall and the rest of the cast of the 1972 classic, The Godfather , were thrilled to meet the star of the movie Marlon Brando. Actor Lenny Montana, who played the thuggish character Luca Brasi was so in awe of Brando he kept fumbling his lines when they both shared the same scenes. Director Francis Ford Coppola made it work by having the character of Luca nervously rehearse what he was going to say prior to meeting the Don, making the situation appear seamless. But if Montana was willing, if unable to learn his lines, Brando was not. In his scenes there were cue cards everywhere, causing Duvall to yell at him,” Marlon, why don’t you learn your lines you fat #*^%*@!”

Brando stubbornly refused to change. A year later when performing in the controversial and sex charged Last Tango In Paris he wrote some of his lines on the bottom of his shoe and in a few scenes had to hop around awkwardly to read them.

For some actors, idiot cards are the ultimate security blanket. Shortly before he died the great John Barrymore had a scene where he only had to deliver one line: “Yes”. Dutifully, his personal assistant stood ready to hold up a cue card. One of the film techs informed the director that Barrymore’s helper was standing in the way, they would not be able to light the scene properly. The director waited for his star to arrive. “Jack, Can I talk to you?” “Certainly.” “Would it be possible for you do this one scene without your idiot card?” “Absolutely Not”. The director sighed,” Jack you only have to say yes, that’s it. What happens if I order your friend to leave?” Barrymore looked at him coldly. “I might say no.” In the end new lighting arrangements were made.

Cisco CCNA Certification: Why You MUST Have Hands-On Experie

    May 24th, 2008

CCNA and CCNP candidates hear it all the time: “you have to get some hands-on experience to pass the exams”.

Candidates tend to think that’s just so they can solve the simulator problems, but that’s only the more obvious reason.

First, I want to make it clear that I’m not bashing learning from books you have to learn theory before you can really know what’s going on in the first place. The key is that to truly understand routing and switching processes, you’ve got to have that hands-on experience.

So if the simulator questions are the more obvious reason to get hands-on experience, what are the less obvious reasons?

    Glad you asked!

You see what happens when things don’t go according to the script. One of the biggest problems with learning your skills on software programs such as “router simulators” is that with simulators, things go pretty much as planned.

I have news for you: that doesn’t always happen in the real world. While Cisco routers and switches are highly reliable devices, every once in a while you’re going to get an unexpected result from a command. Maybe it didn’t work after you typed it in maybe it has an effect on your prior configuration that you didn’t expect. Maybe you don’t know what happened - you just typed in that command and the router went nuts!

Sooner or later, that’s going to happen to you in the real world. And as I tell my students, it’s actually a good thing to have happen to you in a lab.

You don’t learn to troubleshoot or fine-tune a configuration when everything works perfectly. You don’t learn much at all when things go perfectly. And you’re practicing to learn!

I often say that great chefs don’t learn to cook on cooking simulators they learn in the kitchen, and they burn a lot of meals on the way to greatness. You need to screw up some configs on the way to greatness, and you can’t do that on a computer program. You have to be on the real thing.

You build confidence by working with real Cisco routers and switches. Would you want the Super Bowl to be the first football game you ever really played in? Of course not. Then why would you take router configuration exams and be nervous about having to create a VLAN, or troubleshoot an OSPF configuration?

You cannot walk into the testing room a nervous wreck. You must have the attitude that you are already a CCNA or CCNP, and you’re just there to make it official. I can tell you from firsthand experience with many students that the way you develop than confidence is to work with the real deal.

You can’t buy that confidence, and you can’t simulate your way to it. You’ve got to work with real Cisco routers and switches. By working with the real equipment, you develop the real skills and real confidence you need to pass the CCNA and CCNP exams.

Why You Should Get A Massage

    May 24th, 2008

I’m giving busy people everywhere permission to schedule a personal massage. Why? Because I’m alarmed by how few people I know that have taken the time to indulge in a relaxing and therapeutic massage.

There are many reasons that you, no matter who you are, should be getting a massage regularly. One of the biggest and most obvious reasons that a massage should be a regular part of your life is because of how relaxing and stress relieving it is. We a all know that life is stressful and demanding. What you may not realize, however, is how much that stress affects your physical body. Massage is an amazing way to de-stress and unwind after a busy week. When life is stressful our muscles quickly reflect our stress by becoming tense and knotted up. A massage can release the tension in your muscles in no time.

A massage will not only relax your body, but it will also relax your mind. There is no value that can be given to having a mind that is relaxed and at peace even in the midst of a chaos and disaster filled world. Massage can be therapeutic for your mind and allow you to focus again on what is truly important. Wouldn’t you love to have an hour a week where your body and your mind were in a fully relaxed state? I promise you, a massage really is as good as it sounds.

There are many proven physical health benefits to getting a massage as well. Our bodies are constantly collecting harmful substances and toxins that are damaging to our health in many ways. One of the greatest benefits of a deep tissue massage is that it can help to release some of the harmful substances and toxins that have embedded themselves into our muscles. As the toxins are freed from our muscles we can flush them out of our bodies much easier simply by drinking a lot of water. The benefits of removing toxins from your body are nearly endless. Cancers and other serious health issues can be caused by a buildup of harmful toxins, so taking the time to get a deep tissue massage can be one of several ways to make your life healthier and longer.

I simply ask anyone reading this to find someplace to get a massage and give it a try. A quick glance through your phone book or a quick online search will help you find a variety of massage therapists who would be happy to relieve some of your stress. Make an appointment and see how your life will benefit from an hour a week. What could be better than something that is healthy and feels great? Get a massage today!

Triston Huntsmin has been getting massages for years. He enjoys advising people on health related issues that they may not have tried. Find out more about massage at www.massagegroup.info
