TURN ANY HOBBY INTO A PART-TIME BUSINESS

April 26th, 2008

If you are planning on beginning a business, your best bet is
to start out part-time while you are still earning a full-time
income at your present job.

If you are like most people who are existing from payday to
payday, you don’t have a lot of money to invest in a full-time
business. No need to worry! Just use your favorite hobby as your
business base and grow from there!

There’s no telling where you’ll be at 2 or 3 years down the
road. Perhaps you can even tell your present boss to “take that
job and shove it.” Wouldn’t that be great?

Using your present hobby or favorite pastime as your business
base has many benefits. Why? Because ANY business you decide to
become involved in should be doing something you LOVE, something
you believe in, something that you would work at NO MATTER what
income it would generate.

This will give you the stamina to see your business through the
beginning hard times and times when there is more work to do
than you can handle. We all know the feeling of doing a job that
we hate to do.

With jobs we dislike there is no way we can give it 110% of our
abilities because we procrastinate getting through it and just
want to get it over with. That’s why it is vitally important to
dearly love the product or service you have chosen to build your
business around.

Do you like cooking? Start a recipe newsletter for others who
like the same thing and sell your recipes by publishing a simple
booklet. Do you enjoy making crafts? Sell them online. (be sure
and mark up the price for shipping and handling).

Do you enjoy writing? Write a small booklet or how-to manual and
sell it as an ebook. Do you enjoy computer programming? Write a
program and sell through shareware groups or even thru your own
affiliate program.

Just about anything you love doing can be magically transformed
into a business opportunity for you. Start educating yourself by
reading and researching other home-based businesses.

Businesses that claim to put you in business overnight should
never demand a large amount of money from you. On the contrary,
legitimate businesses have nothing to hide and should invite you
to learn the “whole” story behind their claims.

Another good move on your part is to invest a little time in
online business forums. Many are free, and the valuable
information you obtain from actual people who are in business is
something that will be extremely valuable to your education.

Yes - it’s that easy! Of course, this is only the beginning. As
with any hobby, it will take time to realize a profit but think
of it this way: Most people that have a hobby know they have to
spend money to take part in their hobby. It only makes sense to
invest money in advertising your hobby to others so you can
eventually make some of that money back in sales for your own
business!

The Power of Expectations

April 10th, 2008

You can sit around and wait on FedEx to drop off a big box of happiness on your doorstep if you want to. But that’s not likely to happen anytime soon. Or you can get up, create an action plan, and get on with your life. It’s 100% up to you.

Expectations are a part of the universe that makes thing happen, both negatively and positively. Like atomic particles, universal forces cannot be explained, but plugging into them creates some kind of energy. You don’t have to be able to see it or understand it to use it.

Do you understand radio waves or computer chips (ok, so some people do, but I don’t and I have a lot of company in that boat!). I can’t see how this arrives from my computer to yours, and I don’t understand it, but I sure use it. You only have to be willing to let it happen.

If you were not given the power of positive expectations early in life, you now have to create it for yourself. You can live up or down to your own expectations and the expectations of others. 98% of people in prisons report that they were told by their parents or others in their lives that they would end up in prison. They lived “down” to those expectations. What if the same people had told them that they would end up as a successful writer, or a great inventor, or a top sports figure?

You have this same power. You have the power to be creative and resourceful, or you also have the power to be miserable the rest of your life. You have that choice. You have that free will. You pick out an attitude each day the same way you pick out your clothes.

Positive actions are much more powerful than positive thinking. My mother had a great southern saying: “Wish in one hand, pour peas in the other, and see which fills up faster.” She meant, of course, that tangible action brings results, whereas just wishing for something doesn’t. Wishing that FedEx would drop off a box of happiness on your doorstep will have you waiting a very long time. Creating your happiness, one day at a time, will bring that big box of happiness much quicker.

To transform your attitude and maintain positive actions, try the following things: . Don’t expect it to happen overnight, but always expect it to happen . Align yourself with people who also have goals; they’ll support you and encourage you when you’re tired and frustrated . Step out of your comfort zone; do one thing different
. Operate from the standpoint “as if” it had already happened

No, you can’t simply “will” a goal to materialize, but you can make a commitment to do whatever it takes, including consistent exercise, setting time to clean up your environment, or investing your money in a program instead of buying a new outfit. What do you want so badly that you are willing to put aside other things until a later time?

Your expectations of positive things is your best resource. YOU can make that choice. YOU can make it happen.

. Develop the ability to be your own best friend . Cooperate with life, use what’s in front of you . Remember you are human; give yourself a break
. Get into action every day.

Kathy Gates, Professional Life Coach, believes that “Life Rewards Action”. She can help you create goals, overcome procrastination, organize your time and money, find your true passion, and learn to love the real you. Visit www.reallifecoach.com, email Kathy@reallifecoach.com, or call 480.998.5843

Ten Tips To Save On Gasoline By Jeffrey Strain

Gas prices continue to be near all time highs meaning that car
travel is taking a a larger portion out of each of your
paychecks. AAA estimates that the cost of driving a car
including all direct and indirect costs has surpassed 50 cents a
gallon with that price expected to rise.

Reducing the cost of driving your car can be done fairly easy
simply by paying a bit more attention to your car. Here are 10
easy ways to cut the amount of gas your car uses:

1. Purchase your gasoline when it’s coolest outside such as in
the early morning or at night. Gas becomes denser in cooler
temperatures. Since gas pumps only measure the volume of fuel -
and not the density - you’ll get better overall gas mileage for
your money by purchasing fuel when it’s cool outside rather than
in the heat of the day.

2. Religiously check your car’s tire pressure each month (make
sure to purchase a good-quality dial-type gauge for yourself –
pencil-style gauges and the ones mounted on the air hose are
unreliable according to federal government surveys). Under
inflated tires reduce fuel efficiency by 2% for every pound they
are under inflated. Under inflation also causes premature tire
wear giving your tires a shorter use life.

3. Slow down and drive at the speed limit. Cars use about 20%
more fuel driving at 70 miles per hour than they do at 55 miles
per hour.

4. Avoid using air conditioning whenever possible. Air
conditioning reduces fuel economy by 10% to 20%. Use the air
ventilation system instead.

5. Don’t drive with open windows when traveling at high speeds.
Open windows on the highway can reduce fuel efficiency by 10%.
It’s much better to use the ventilation system.

6. Remove car racks and other items which make your car less
aerodynamic when they’re not being used. Leaving them on only
makes your car less fuel efficient and costs you money.

7. There is no need to let your car idle. Even on cold mornings,
cars don’t need to idle more than 30 seconds. Newer cars are
designed to be driven almost immediately and letting your car
idle longer is a waste of gas.

8. It’s more efficient to turn off your car and turn it on again
than to let it idle for more than 45 seconds while waiting.

9. Remove all the excess weight from your car. Many people use
their car trunk as a storage space adding unneeded pounds to the
car’s weight. This unnecessary weight reduces the car’s fuel
efficiency by about 1% for every 100 lbs.

10. For most cars, higher octane gas is simply a waste of money.
Regular unleaded (approx. 87 octane or so) is the least
expensive and what you should purchase. It’s important to
remember that octane is a measurement of how hard it is to
ignite the gas, not the quality of the gas. Purchase mid or high
octane gas only if your engine pings, knocks or rattles when
using regular unleaded fuel.

How to find your bra size - a teen guide!

March 30th, 2008

•••Take your measurements using a soft flexible measuring
tape•••

1. Frame Size Your frame size is the diameter around your chest,
below your breasts. Measure around your ribcage directly under
your breasts.

2. Breast Size Now measure around your chest, over and including
the fullest part of your breast. For larger breast, get this
measurement while wearing a bra.

How the Measurement Works

1. Frame The diameter around your chest below your breasts.

2. Bra Size Add 5 to your Frame size. If the number you get is
odd, round up to the next even number. For example, if your
frame size is 20 inches, when you add 5 to this you get 25
inches. You should therefore round up to the even number, which
is 26 inches (bras only come in even numbers).

3. Breast Size The diameter around your chest, over and
including the fullest part of your breast.

4. Cup Size The deference between your frame size and bra size,
is used to find your cup size.

Cup Size 0 to 1/2 inch AA 1/2 to 1 inch A 1 to 2 1/2 inches B 2
1/2 to 3 1/2 inches C 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 inches D 4 1/2 to 6 inches
DD (E) 6 to 7 inches DDD(F) 7 to 8 inches G

To make things easier you can use our Bra Size calculator at
http://www.myfirstbra.us/bra_size.htm

When the right bra size still isn’t right ! If your bra still
doesn’t feel right, the best thing to is to try on deferent
brands, and vary the size a bit. Make sure the bra strap doesn’t
cut into your shoulders, and make sure your breasts don’t hang
out of the bottom, or sides of the bra. The best rule is, if it
just doesn’t feel right, try another bra. Bra sizes can vary a
lot depending on the type of bra, and even the brand. The best
thing to do is go into the changing room, and try on a number of
different bras. Once you find a bra you like, jump around a
little to see if the bra gives you the proper support, lean
forward in the mirror to see if the cups keep your breasts where
you want them to be. A new bra should fasten at the middle or
last hook, because the material will stretch with wear. The best
thing to remember is comfort; a bra that scratchy or tight will
drive you crazy by the end of the school day.
